We recently discovered primary schoolers and their teachers from Orléans-Tour who created DocExplore fiction books. We notice an increasing use of DocExplore for other things than cultural heritage digitization. Very interesting!

Transcription of Jean Gaument’s war diary
Les bibliothèques Rn’Bi mènent cette année un projet de transcription du Journal de guerre (14-18) de Jean Gaument avec l’académie de Rouen (classes de 2nde et 1ère) dans le cadre du projet de commémoration nationale et locale du Centenaire de la Guerre 14-18. La restitution et valorisation de ce projet se fait notamment grâce à la suite logiciel DocExplore pour présenter le journal avec les transcriptions associées. Une journée de restitution du projet était fixée le mardi 19 mai 2015, et s’est déroulée à la bibliothèque Simone de Beauvoir. Elle a rassemblé 160 élèves de 6 classes de Seine-Maritime et de l’Eure.

DocExplore Training at University of Rouen
Une nouvelle session de formation à DocExplore, organisée avec l’aide de l’ARL, s’est tenue dans nos locaux le 27 novembre 2014. Une vingtaine de stagiaires de toutes la France a pu goûter à la création de Livres Augmentés Visuels DocExplore.

Training day in University of Kent
Le 20 juin dernier l’équipe du projet DocExplore assurait une formation sur notre logiciel à l’Université du Kent, à destination d’archivistes, historiens, personnel de musée et bibliothécaires britanniques. La journée s’est déroulée dans une ambiance qui nous a semblé conviviale et enthousiaste, avec une vingtaine de stagiaires essentiellement du Sud-Ouest de l’Angleterre. Nous espérons à présent pouvoir découvrir leurs créations au sein de leurs institutions !

Welcome to the new DocExplore website
The DocExplore project has reached a new milestone and we’ve set up this website to share our progress. In particular, you can now freely download the software which has been released under the open-source CeCILL license. You will also find documentation and tutorials, a forum to provide your feedback and demonstrations of what can be built with the software. Be sure to check this site often as we will be rolling out new and updated content in the coming weeks.
